Martial Arts Qigong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice for self-healing whose benefits have increased the health and wellbeing of its practitioners for thousands of years. The positive effects of practicing Qigong have also been confirmed through scientific study. Through the practice of Qigong we can change the brain to improve our cognitive and emotional regulation and inspire our spirit towards greater levels of development and fulfillment.  

In this, particular, sequence we cultivate the power of your will. This class is for adults who would like support in making changes in their lives (big or small) that require focus and motivation. In a world where our ability to focus is compromised by the pace of life and the competition by media sources to take our attention, it is increasingly important we have practices in place to help us to counter these forces. No previous knowledge of Qigong or martial arts is required to join and, although Qigong is a gentle practice to begin with, you are encouraged to “right size” the sequence to your needs.

Qigong for Brain Health involves posture, movement, breath regulation, meditation, and visualization. No previous training in Qigong is required.
